MLB and the Players Union have agreed to a plan that will allow for a 60-game regular season schedule that would begin on July 23rd and 24th. In order to minimize travel, teams will play 10 games against their four divisional rivals and 20 games against the opposite league’s corresponding geographical division. Players will report to training camps on July 1. Several rules changes will be initiated for the coronavirus-shortened season, including use of the designated hitter in both leagues. MLB is working with health experts to ensure a safe return to baseball. It’s definitely going to be different! Go Braves!
