The Atlanta 400 Baseball Fan Club will hold its annual winter banquet and fundraiser at the Marriott Northwest at Galleria on Saturday evening, January 19, 2019. A gala reception, silent auction and raffle of Braves memorabilia begins at 5:00 PM with the awards dinner and program following at 6:30.
This year’s theme is “All-Stars, Gold Gloves and National League Honors.” Early RSVPs include Manager Brian Snitker and Hall of Famer Phil Niekro. Braves announcer Paul Byrd will emcee the program. Organist Matthew Kaminski will perform during the reception and Timothy Miller will sing The Lord’s Prayer for the Invocation.
The Atlanta Braves will present several awards for outstanding performances by Braves minor leaguers in 2018: Austin Riley (Hank Aaron Award), Touki Toussaint (Phil Niekro Award), Hayden Deal (Bill Lucas Award), and Chris Maloney (Bobby Cox Award). The Luke Appling Nostalgia Award will be presented to Ron Reed. The Ivan Allen, Jr. “Mr. Baseball” Award recipient will be announced at the banquet. Phil Niekro College Scholarships will be awarded to Georgia Gwinnett College and Middle Georgia State University. The 2018 Metro Atlanta High School Player of the Year will be awarded to Will Banfield from Brookwood High School. Joey Bart from Georgia Tech will receive the Jason Varitek Most Outstanding Scholar Athlete in Georgia Award.
Admission is by advance reservation only. No tickets will be sold at the door. Seating is assigned as payments are received, so make your reservations early to secure the best available seats.
Tickets are $75 for 400 Fan Club members and $80 for the general public. The cost of a table for ten is $700.
