2022 Virtual Eddie Glennon Gameboree

Register now for the 56th annual Eddie Glennon Gameboree, a gala annual winter event saluting baseball and the Atlanta Braves. With the recent surge in Covid-19, the event will be virtual on Wednesday evening, January 19th at 7:00 PM.

We are excited to announce that our salute to the 2021 World Series Champions will feature a lively discussion moderated by Braves broadcaster Chip Caray, former Brave Marquis Grissom, and 2015 winning World Series Manager Ned Yost. 

Twelve awards will be presented throughout the evening including the 2021 Metro Atlanta High School Co-Players of the Year to Dylan Lesko of Buford HS, a junior last year, and Harry Ford of North Cobb HS who was drafted and signed by the Seattle Mariners. Luke Waddell of Georgia Tech is the recipient of the Jason Varitek College Scholar-Athlete award. Luke was drafted and signed by the Braves.

The Atlanta Braves will recognize four of their minor league stars. Catcher Shae Langeliers will receive the Hank Aaron Minor League Player of the Year. Bryce Elder will receive the Phil Niekro Pitcher of the Year. Joey Estes will receive the Bill Lucas Award for Character and Sportsmanship, and Nestor Perez, Jr. will receive the Bobby Cox Minor League Manager award.

The 400 Fan Club will present $1,500 Phil Niekro Memorial College Scholarships to the baseball programs at Truett-McConnell University in Cleveland, head baseball coach Mike Croley, and LaGrange College in LaGrange, head baseball coach David Kelton.

During the program the 400 Fan Club will introduce a new award, The Spirit Award, presented to a person consistently displaying passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to the Atlanta Braves and the game of baseball. The inaugural recipient is 56-year Braves legend Walter Banks.

The 2022 Luke Appling Nostalgia Award recipient will be former Braves coach Ned Yost. The Ivan Allen, Jr. Mr. Baseball Award recipient will be announced at the close of the program.

There is no cost to 400 Fan Club members for the 2022 Gameboree.  Advance registration is required to receive the Zoom link and a pdf Gameboree program. The link and printable program will be emailed on Monday, January 17, two days prior to the event.
