2024 Eddie Glennon Gameboree

The Atlanta 400 Baseball Fan Club will hold its 58th annual winter banquet and fundraiser at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest at Galleria on Saturday evening, January 20, 2024. A gala reception, silent auction and raffle of Braves memorabilia begins at 5:00PM with the awards dinner and program following at 6:30. All baseball fans are welcome!

This year’s theme is “Baseball is More Than a Game.” We are excited to welcome back Leo Mazzone as our emcee. Tenor Timothy Miller will provide the Invocation with his outstanding version of The Lord’s Prayer. Dan Iassogna has experienced 25 years as a Major League umpire and will share stories of what umpires have to endure! Native Atlantan C.J. Stewart, founder of the non-profit organization L.E.A.D., will speak on believing that Baseball Is More Than a Game.

The 400 Fan Club will present $1,500 Phil Niekro Memorial College Scholarships to Albany State University, Head Coach Scot Hemmings, and Oglethorpe University, Head Coach Kellen Greer. Charlie Condon from the Univ. of Georgia and a graduate of The Walker School in Marietta is the recipient of the Jason Varitek College Scholar-Athlete Award. The Metro Atlanta High School Player of the Year is Colin Houck. Braves Director of Minor League Operations Ron Knight will be there to present the Braves Minor League Awards (Drake Baldwin, Owen Murphy, David McCabe, Angel Piva) via Zoom. The Walter Banks Spirit Award, and the Ivan Allen, Jr. “Mr. Baseball” Award will be presented at the banquet.

Admission is by advance reservation only. No tickets will be sold at the door. Seating is assigned as payments are received. Tickets are $115 for Atlanta 400 Baseball Fan Club members and $125 for the general public. The member cost of a table for eight is $920 and $1,000 for non-members. Reservations can be made below using Paypal or you may use Square credit card payment by calling our Treasurer at (404) 452-7259 to complete the transaction. In order to get a good head count for the Marriott, we are closing online registration on Tuesday, January 16, at 5:00PM. Online registration is now closed. Please contact our Treasurer for registration inquiries after that date.

The Marriott hotel is offering a discounted room rate for Gameboree attendees of only $139/night for Friday and/or Saturday, January 19-20. Evening Dress Code Reminder – Business casual and up is suggested for attendees.

Gameboree Goodies – All Gameboree guests will receive a souvenir program and a well-stocked goody bag!

Special Note: Our Auction and Raffle crews are coming to the Gameboree fully-loaded this year. The Gameboree Silent Auction will again provide serious collectors, passionate fans, and all other attendees a terrific opportunity to acquire autographed baseballs, pictures, and other unique commemorative items. Included are autographs of your favorite Braves from the past and our stars of the future. Other items to be offered include bobbleheads and hard-to-find memorabilia. Proceeds go to provide funding for the Phil Niekro Memorial Scholarship Fund. Among the many items in the Silent Auction you will find: 1956 Press pin, 1992 NLCS Sid Bream ticket, 2014 HOF Induction pin, OutKast bobblehead, John Smoltz bat, Tim Hudson hat, and autographed baseballs by Ted Williams, Buck Leonard, and Brooks Robinson, which are pictured below.
