Phil Niekro, 1939-2020: Forever a Brave

Very sad to hear about the passing of Braves legend and Hall of Famer Phil Niekro on December 26 at the age of 81.  During a career that spanned 24 years, Phil won 318 games in 5,404 innings including 245 complete games, while striking out 3,342 batters with his baffling, signature knuckleball.  Phil was one of the true heroes in Atlanta sports history in every sense of the word with his many accomplishments both on and off the field.  He was a great supporter of the 400 Fan Club and the game of baseball over the years.  Knucksie, we’ll miss you!
